Overall Responsibilities

Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is a non-profit international health organization composed of nearly 2500 people from more than 74 nationalities working in 47 countries. Our mission is to save lives and improve the health of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people by closing the gap between knowledge and action in public health. Together with our partners, we are helping managers and leaders in developing countries to create stronger management systems that improve health services for the greatest health impact.

MSH is currently preparing for an upcoming USAID-funded Public Sector Strengthening project in Tanzania.  The goal of the project is to support the Government of Tanzania (GOT) to strengthen the public system to promote the delivery, quality, and use of services, particularly for underserved populations. The project will strengthen key multi-sectoral components of LGA systems as part of the approach to promote inclusive and evidenced-based planning, management, and implementation of services.  
Specific Responsibilities
MSH is seeking candidates in the following areas:

Health Financing senior specialists  to provide technical expertise and leadership for increased domestic resources in health care and improve the use of these funds in terms of effectiveness, efficiency, and obtaining value for money.  Qualifications:  10 years of directly relevant technical experience, including prior long-term experience in East Africa.

Human Resources for Health senior specialists  to provide technical expertise and leadership for improved equity in the distribution of health care workers providing quality essential health services. Qualifications:  Qualifications:  10 years of directly relevant technical experience, including prior long-term experience in East Africa.

Health Information Systems senior specialists  to build capacity for increased use of available information to inform evidence based decision making processes at the national and LGA levels. Qualifications:  10 years of directly relevant technical experience, including prior long-term experience in East Africa.

Health Governance senior specialists to lead project activities which will strengthen governance at national and LGA levels to use resources transparently, enable citizen engagement in planning and monitoring, and produce results in health care. Qualifications:  10 years of directly relevant technical experience, including prior long-term experience in East Africa.
