Principal Internal Affairs Officer- Digital Security







 

Purpose of the Job
Assist in the administration and coordination of the Authority security function that ensure security and safety of the digital resources and properties.
Major Activities of the Job.
  1. Ensure successful implementation of Security Policy, Standards, Guidelines and Procedures for maintenance of security of digital resources and assets in the Authority.
  2. Ensure effective implementation of security strategies and actions plans.
  3. Coordinate successful implementation of operational plans on security of digital assets.
  4. Liaise with Information and Communication Technology Department on matters relating to security of digital assets and information systems.
  5. Implement and maintain digital assets security processes to reduce security risks, respond to incidents, and limit operational areas exposure to security risks.
  6. Inspect and patrol vital installations, server rooms, stores and duty stations or posts manned by outsourced security firms to ensure that installed digital devices are functioning effectively and are secure.
  7. Coordinate provision of security training to security personnel and sensitise staff on security matters.
  8. Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Job Requirements
Qualifications.
  1. Advanced Diploma or Degree in Information and Communications Technology or Computer Science or Software Engineering or Systems Engineering or Electronics Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized University.
  2. Masters’ Degree in Information and Communications Technology or Computer Science or Software Engineering or Systems Engineering or Electronics Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized University.
  3. Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) or Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO) or Certified Physical Security Professional (CPSP) is an added advantage.
Experience. 
        At least five (5) years of relevant work experience
