Purpose of the Job
To assist in the administration and coordination of the Authority security function that ensures security and safety of physical resources and properties.
Major Activities of the Job.
- Ensure successful implementation of Security Policy, Standards, Guidelines and Procedures for maintenance of security of physical resources and assets in the Authority.
- Ensure Security Strategies and Action Plans are effectively implemented.
- Coordinate successful implementation of operational plans on security of physical assets.
- Supervise the outsourced security firms and vendors.
- Ensure that physical assets are properly protected, workplace violence is prevented, and access control systems are up to date and operating.
- Develop, implement and maintain physical assets security processes to reduce security risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure of operational areas to security risks.
- Monitor Inspection and patrol of vital installations, server rooms, stores and duty stations or posts manned by outsourced security firms.
- Provide professional advice and guidance to staff on physical assets security.
- Assist in carrying out background checks of staff, suspected taxpayers and other third parties in relation to the Authority security breach.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications.
- Advanced Diploma or Degree in Law or Business Administration or Public Administration, or Finance, or Strategic Studies or its equivalent from a recognised Institution/University.
- Masters’ Degree in Law or Business Administration, Public Administration, or Finance, or Strategic Studies or its equivalent from a recognised Institution.
- Training in Investigation or Security or Risk Management is an added advantage.
At least five (5) years of relevant work experience
